CEW Hires New VP

Publishing executive joins industry organization in leadership role

The Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) organization has announced the hiring of Susan Bornstein as vice president of events, marketing and membership, effective January 4, 2010. In this role, Bornstein will be responsible for marketing, media relations and membership as well as developing newopportunities and strategic planning. Most recently, Bornstein was the associate publisher/marketing of Gourmet Magazine, where she oversaw creative services, multi-platform initiatives, events, research and more.

“I am thrilled to welcome Susan, another longtime industry leader, to CEW,“ says Carlotta Jacobson, president of CEW. “Her leadership will be integral for launching many of CEW’s upcoming initiatives, as well as maintaining our high quality of existing programming for the industry.”

Bornstein is a seasoned publishing executive. Prior to Gourmet, she was the associate publisher/marketing at Allure magazine from 2000-2008. Additionally, her experiences include marketing positions at Conde Nast Traveler, People and Vogue. She is a graduate of Tufts University, and currently resides in Westchester with her husband and two daughters.
